Welcome at European Makers
In November 2001 European Makers Gallery opened its doors in the lower level of an historic building in the Amsterdam 'Spiegelkwartier', close to the Rijks-museum .
We exhibit and sell contemporary applied art. The emphasis lies on wonderful ceramics, glass, textiles and also paintings by established and new and upcoming artists from all over Europe. Our collection is carefully selected and exhibited in a light and serene space, enabling the visitor to fully appreciate and enjoy the works of art in all their beauty.

‘While I coil and model with my hands in close physical contact with the plastic material of the clay, I continue to have a constant visual study of the development of the form. The most important thing for me is to create designs that have both a visual and a tactile appeal to the spectator. The design of my ceramic objects has an abstract soft appearance; the organic softness, which people experience through my works, seems like a quick and impulsive process, but is in fact a result of a slow and intense working process with the material’.
